Partisan Games Don't Pay the Bills. It's Time for Rochester's Working Families to Fight Back.

Nick Paul is running for State Representative to deliver real relief for Granite State families struggling with rising costs: finally lowering our crushing property taxes, making housing affordable again, ensuring quality healthcare is within reach, and cutting the outrageous cost of childcare.

"I care about results, not political grandstanding. While many in Concord have been busy with divisive political battles and handing out tax breaks to big corporations, our elected leaders should be focused on what truly matters: making everyday life more affordable for working families. With a decade of experience bridging politics, policy, and community action, I'm ready to cut through the noise and deliver real, practical solutions that put more money back in the pockets of Rochester residents."

PROPERTY TAXES

For 15 years, politicians in Concord have been shifting the burden from corporations and the wealthy onto our families. They've quietly cut state funding for our schools, neglected our roads, and shortchanged the retirement of our dedicated teachers and police officers. This isn't just "downshifting"; it's a hidden property tax hike for homeowners in places like Rochester. Why? To fund endless corporate tax giveaways. They're stealing money right out of your wallet, and I'm running to put an end to it. We must demand our tax dollars are invested in our children's education and keeping our communities safe, not subsidizing giant corporations.

HEALTHCARE

While major healthcare laws are debated in D.C., our representatives have actively made things worse at home—recently gutting NH’s Prescription Drug Affordability Board and blocking a common-sense, no-cost prescription discount program. I will fight to bring back real state-level oversight to hold price-gouging pharmaceutical companies accountable and lower your out-of-pocket costs. We can’t fix the entire healthcare system from the statehouse, but we can absolutely stop special interests from rigging the rules against everyday people. Our seniors and families shouldn't have to choose between putting food on the table and affording life-saving prescriptions, and I will always put your family's health and financial security ahead of corporate profits.

HOUSING

When starter homes don't exist and rents are out of control, economic stability becomes a pipe dream. I want to focus our housing policy sharply on building homes for working families and affordable apartments for everyone, not luxury condos or mini-mansions. We can solve our housing crisis responsibly without growing the state budget or raising your taxes. By fully utilizing existing programs, cutting through unnecessary red tape for builders, and fostering smart private-public partnerships, we can build the homes we desperately need while protecting current taxpayers from utility cost increases.

CHILDCARE

Affordable childcare isn't a luxury—it is an absolute economic imperative. With families facing crushing costs that can top $30,000 a year and fewer options than ever, too many working parents are being forced to choose between their jobs and their kids. Our current leaders have let this problem spiral into a full-blown crisis. I will fight to rebuild our childcare system by investing in new, safe facilities, supporting local care providers, and cutting out-of-pocket tuition costs so Rochester families can afford quality care without sacrificing their entire paycheck.

Meet Nick.

I was raised by a truck driver and a teacher's aide right here in New Hampshire. I know what it means to live paycheck to paycheck. Today, my wife and I are raising our three kids in Rochester, facing the same brutal daycare tuition and rising health insurance premiums as our neighbors. Our oldest attends public school, and our youngest will too.

I wasn't planning on running for office, but what we have isn't working. With over a decade of policy experience, I know how to take on tough fights—from working to defeat the Northern Pass Project to advocating for anti-poverty measures nationally and common-sense energy solutions here at home.

Concord isn't going to fix itself. I'm running to make sure somebody finally puts working families first.
